My name is Nasibeh Soltani, living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Before working as a Service Designer, I worked as a Product Designer. I have two Master’s degrees, one in Product Design, and one in Interaction Design.
My approach towards service design
Like many other service designers, I follow the Design Thinking approach in my projects. However, there are three qualities that define my personal approach towards Design Thinking:
- To deeply understand the customer, their needs and context via interviews and observations. This cannot be achieved without empathy.
- To analyze the identified needs (both qualitative and quantitative) and define the “job to be done”, pain-points, “moments of truth”, gaps and opportunities.
- To brainstorm, co-create, test and validate the proposed solutions with the help of customer.
